Can I use KleverKey on existing doors?
Yes. Door handles, fittings and cylinders are retrofitted to existing doors, without any wiring. With the Lock Inspector we check in advance which component fits which door.
Can I install the locks myself?
Yes, the locks can be retrofitted yourself without any wiring. If you would rather not do it yourself, book our installation service – KleverKey will then fit the locks and readers on site.
How do I open a door with the app?
The KleverKey app for iOS and Android opens the door via Bluetooth as soon as you are standing in front of it. Your administrator defines in the portal which doors you may open and when.
What about people without a smartphone?
They open doors with a smartcard, a key fob, a wristband or the SwissPass. You manage these access media in the portal just like any digital key.
Can I open doors remotely?
Yes, with a KleverKey gateway. It connects the locks to the cloud via Wi-Fi – for remote opening and real-time events. For sites without Wi-Fi, there is a mobile hotspot with a data subscription.
What happens if a card or key fob is lost?
You block the medium in the portal with one click. There is no need for a new cylinder or new keys.
How do I know the battery is running low?
KleverKey reports a low battery level by e-mail or push notification if you have activated this notification in your user account. You then replace the batteries yourself.
What does KleverKey cost?
You pay for the hardware once and for the software as a subscription per person – free for up to 2 people. Calculate your offer in the price calculator and the monthly subscription costs in the subscription calculator
How is the subscription billed and how do I cancel?
The subscription is billed per person on a daily basis and renews for one month at a time. You can cancel it at any time with effect from the end of a month. Details can be found in the Terms of Use
